About Us
We are the travel girls basketball team in town, serving young athletes from West Hartford since 1998!! Over the years, we have grown a group of talented players with the help of dedicated and knowledgeable coaches, supportive parents / guardians and created a basketball community that fosters the growth of our West Hartford players in basketball skills, knowledge of the game, sportsmanship and ultimately fostered lifetimes of positive work ethic, friendships, teamwork and a love of the game. Many of our athletes have gone on to play at both the high school and college level.

Objective
The primary objective of the WH Magic Basketball program is to provide a more rigorous and competitive atmosphere for those basketball players who want more than a recreation program offers. The schedule runs from late October to March, with two practices per week, plus 1-2 games on weekends (20+ game schedule). Competition and games are against towns in the greater Hartford area. All WH Magic teams play in the CT Girls Basketball League (CGBL), which is the premier travel basketball league in the area.
Mission
West Hartford Magic Travel Basketball is committed to providing a positive, educational, and well-rounded experience to youth basketball players through sports competition, constructive coaching and leadership, and instilling the importance of teamwork, discipline, and hard work. We strive to develop fundamental skills through active participation of our players and to promote good sportsmanship from our players, coaches, and parents. As a travel program, we are one of the stepping stones for young West Hartford athletes aiming to grow their abilities, increase their dedication to the game of basketball and develop into a player and person ready to take the next step in learning the game. West Hartford Magic is a basketball community that reflects enthusiasm, perseverance, hard work, a positive attitude, a growth mindset and overall a willingness to learn and grow and help each other do that too.
